Ran offshore on Saturday and the conditions were a little tough. We dodged rain storms most of the day but that didn't keep the fish from biting. We were fishing in an area that holds tons of grouper but legally we can't keep them so we targeted Monster Black Sea Bass and other bottom fish. The Jacks ate us alive and gave everybody on the boat a good fight. We ended our trip with our limits of bottom fish.
Now is the time to Book your trip for Live Bait Fishing for King Mackerel and Cobia. I suspect within the next two weeks thru Mothers day weekend there will be a strong migration of these fish cruising our Brunswick County Beaches looking for an easy meal. I'm getting reports of tons of bait all over the beach just south of us in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. That's a good sign for what's to come.
Check back often on our Fishing Reports page to see what we've been catching.
